It started with a daughter, a trip, and a thought.
A small idea that grew into a creative space for everyone. Here's how Ityadi began, and what we're trying to build.
Hi, we're Prashant & Ashwini.
Ityadi started with our daughter, Aathira. We were looking for a place where she could try her hand at art, meet other curious kids, and make friends through the things she made. Turns out, that kind of place was harder to find than we expected.
The idea really took shape on a family trip to Chiang Mai. We spent a week dipping into workshops together — pottery one day, painting the next — and saw how quickly strangers turned into friends over a shared craft. We came home with one thought: why not build this for everyone?

So… why Ityadi?
it·ya·di
It's a Sanskrit word, used across many Indian languages. The literal meaning is "and so on" — the bit that comes at the end of a list when there's still more to add.
For us, it captures something a single label can't: a culmination of many things, things you can't quite bucket. Tufting and tea and book clubs and ceramics and conversations and the friends you didn't know you needed. Ityadi is all of it, under one roof.
Doubling down on human experiences in a world that keeps pulling us apart.
The world is getting more isolated. Screens are louder. Real rooms are quieter. It's easier than ever to consume something, and harder than ever to make something — alongside other people who are also showing up to try.
So we built a place that goes the other way. An aspiring space. A start of so many things. Somewhere you can put your phone down, pick something up, and notice the room you're actually in.
One-ness
Strangers around the same table, working on the same thing.
Stillness
A few quiet hours where the only thing on your mind is the thing in your hands.
Mind expansion
The small thrill of finding out you can do a thing you'd written off.
If even one of those lands for you, you're in the right place.
The room itself
Best way to understand Ityadi is to walk in. Here's where to find us.
